Engine Performance problem
1997 Kia Sportage 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

the engine light turns on when l do 100 kmp & if l take my foot off the gas the light goes off, l found a split in the air filter box would that be the problem or do l need a new sensor??

Engine management sysem cannot operate correctly with unmetered air enter the engine! Fix the crack, then go from there...
