2007 Kia Spectra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 20K miles

When I put my car in reverse it makes a squealing sound especially when I apply the brakes what is that? I can also hear it a little when I am driving.

have the drive belt's and pulley's inspected for wear/damage
