2007 Kia Spectra speedometer

my speedometer was off by 5mph-it was probably like that since i bought it in 2007-they replaced it in nov. of 2009-now it is off by 5-6mph. have you heard of this problem and what is the normal mph difference in speedometers- i just talked to kia-and they said up to 9mph variance is acceptable-does anyone know if thats right-it doesnt sound right to me

a variance of 5mph is usually acceptable
