squealing from rear passenger brakes

squealing from rear passenger brakes I need the parts which I will get this weekend, just wanted to know what I was getting into. Thanks!

Hello,

If you hear the squealing as you press the brake, then it likely that the rear pads are worn and needs to be replaced.
On the pads there are metal tabs that will touch the brake rotors after the pads are worn below recommended thickness. This will create the noise, indicating that the pads need to be replaced.

Any time the brake pads get replaced it is important to inspect the rotors and resurfaced them is necessary and make sure they are within specification.
