2006 Kia Spectra O2 sensor

My Kia Spectra's engine light came on, and I found out that it needs an O2 sensor. Can I keep driving it without the repair, or will it damage the engine? It costs $116, and I just don't have it at this time. Thank you in advance!

It shouldn't hurt anything in the short term other than MPG and driveability. However, it eventually could cause other damage.
