brake lights not working. changed bulbs .checked fuses,no luck,,what would be the next step in trouble shooting, i have a volt meter.

There is a switch on the top of the brake pedal. It determins when the brake lights turn on and off. Check it to make sure it is not loose. Also, with the volt meter, check for power. One side should have 12 volts all of the time, the other only when the switch is activated.
