How do I gain access to the thermister on a 2004 Kia Spectra? I have removed the dash panels, unbolted the evaporator housing from the firewall, and I still can not reach or access the thermister. I can feel the two wires that go into the back of the evaporator. Is there any way to replace the thermister without evacuating the system or completely removing the unit? Will the evaporator housing need to be disassembled to remove the sensor?

It will be at the end of the upper radiator hose on the engine under the thermostat housing. Here are pictures for the different size 4cyl engines.
