2002 Kia Spectra Door Ajar Light Stays On

I would like to know what it will take to disconnect the Door Ajar idiot light on the dashboard. I got it narrowed down to the front, driver's side door because I can pull on the door handle and the light will turn off, but once let go, the light comes back on. I don't see a that there is a fuse that I can pull to take care of the problems. Therefore, there must be some type of wiring connection that appears to be loose. Please let me know what I can do, because the chiming noise is aggrevating to listen to

Hi jadeinmichigan,

Either the door adjustment is out due to misalignment or a worn striker rubber or the door switch cover is dislodged.
