2001 Kia Spectra odometer fluctuating 5 - 10 mph

Electrical problem
2001 Kia Spectra 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 164 k miles

Details:
battery 12.7 volts
Car running battery 13.6 volts
while driving 65 mph odo jumps from 55 - 65
after about 15 minutes the check engine light came on
car appears to be running fine.
Any ideas?

My first thoughts would be a speed sensor fault, i would get a scan done to see what the set fault code is that is indicated by the check light, start here and report the code for more assistance,

The "check engine" light is back off, the speed odom is acting normal. next day the speed odom acted up again i called KIA picked up a new speed sensor $37 bucks. Installed it speed odom working normal.
