What could have caused rust and corrosion inside the engine block causing it to overheat ultimately cause the engine to need replacement? And is the manufacturer responsible for the replacement of the engine?

Hi there, dirty water, lack of correct coolant, mixing coolant contaminants in the coolant all can lead to this, i doubt that you will have any success getting the manufacturer to admit liability with this problem.
