2004 Kia Sorento 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

I have a bad engine in a 2004 Sorento Are the engines exactly the same as the Sedona of the same year. I want to swap a sorento engine witha sedona engine Thanks Russ

Chances are they are the same basic engine. However, there will be differences with things like sensors, vacuum lines, motor mounts, maybe injectors... We always recommend a direct replacement. But if you compare them and they look identical, it should work. Also, take the sensors from the old engine and install them in the new one. You may also have to change the injectors, intake...

I'm trying to be as honest as I can. I would expect things to be different and require changing, but the basic engine (if the exact same size) should be the same.
