I recently put size 215 70 16s on my Kia. This is not the recommended size so I was wondering if these tires would be ok?

If the clear everything, they should be ok. However, we always recommend staying with direct replacement parts. Also, make sure to retorque the wheels (if new) after about 50 miles, then recheck them at 100 and once in a while after that. Aftermarket wheels can come loose.
