After stopping at a stop light when I release the brake the brakes disengage with a soft clunk/thump noise. What could the noise be. I just had my brakes checked and was told that nothing was wrong with my brakes because of a squeel that occurs periodically.

Clunks up front usually mean either a weak motor or tranny mount, or a worn inboard tripod joint on the cv axle. Have that 10 100,000 mile warranty? Get these checked, still covered.
