Hi Randy,
Thank you for the donation.
Here are possible causes and what to check. The misfiring indicates a possible fault with the ignition timing and that can mean the timing belts is off position.
CRANKS NORMALLY BUT WILL NOT START
"Â Check for strong spark.
"Â Check fuel pump operation.
"Â Check fuel injector operation.
"Â Check fuel system pressure.
"Â Check spark plug condition.
"Â Check timing belt condition and alignment.
"Â Check engine compression.
"Â Check Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.
"Â Check Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.
"Â Check voltages of Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor, Throttle Position (TP) sensor, ignition coils and Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor at Engine Control Module (ECM).
"Â Check for contaminated MAF sensor.
"Â Check intake air leak.
"Â Check Engine Control Module (ECM) power and grounds.
"Â If no start after engine is warmed up, disconnect ECT and check if engine starts.
