Due to a small car crash I had a radiator replacement just a month ago. Two days ago the temperature went up to the max. Highest level and I took the car to the repair right away. He fixed it by releasing the air and on the way back the temperature was within the normal range.
My concern is: Since at least twice within two days, the temperature was at the max. Level which means the engine was over heated, does it mean that the engine was damaged? How do we know? Can I feel safe and believe that it was just one off and a small problem or I should expect to have it again since it already happened once? What do you think, is it possible the engine to be completely in order after this?

If air was trapped in the system, it can be trapped at the temp sensor. This will give inacurate readings, see how it goes now. You should be covered, Kia has the 10-100,000mi warranty?
