2005 Kia Optima need a compressor

hey do i need a compressor took my car in to the dealer and dfixed for about two weeks ac blowing cold. then it went out and blow cool air not cold air toojk back to dealer he said it s the compressor please let me know or am i getting messed around

Hi there,

You may have a faulty compressor, but i would want to know if it is loosing refrigerant from a slow leak first. This can be checked with a leak detector dye added to the refrigerant. check this first.
