2005 Kia Optima Automatic Window

Window on Drivers side only was repaired twice for being off track and is broken again will only go partially up. I am now being told I would need a window regulator put in costing $400. Is this correct

The regulator keeps the window straight when being moved. The price sounds a little high, but that will most likely fix the problem.
