2004 Kia Optima cooling

I have a 2004 Kia Optima EXV6 2.7 liter engine. The temp. gauge has risen towards ht (2) times in the last two weeks...what could this mean?

Hi there,

First check that the coolant level is not low, and make sure that the cooling fans are working, replace the thermostat and check that the radiator is clean and get it flow tested.
