Four cylinder front wheel drive automatic 75,000 miles.

I have taken out the fuel pump on the car and hooked it to the battery and works just fine but when i plug it back up will not start. I am trying to find out where the fuel pump relay is on the car, i have heard under the dash, but i do not see it. Can you please tell me exactly where it is located?

Thank you,

Michael

The relay that controls the fuel pump is the ECM relay, here are some diagrams (Below) and a couple of guides to help you do some simple testing so you can get the problem fixed. https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit and https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Okay, i went to NAPA and told them what i needed but they ordered the fuel pump relay for a 2.7 now on a 2.7 it has its own fuel pump relay with a main relay, but not on the 2.4 it just uses ECM control relay. is there anything else that could be wrong besides the relay if the fuel pump works on the battery and the fuse is not blown? i did notice electrical issues with the car before this happened, and do you think that this can happen again soon? and under the ECM relay on this picture you sent there is a small box under that, is that where the fuel pump relay is on a 2.7?

Thank you

Yep, the relay is in the same place as the other engine. Look around a little bit it can be hidden by wires etc.
