Electrical problem
2002 Kia Optima 6 cyl Automatic 90,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My brake/tail lights are still on although the car is not running and no one is in it applying the brakes.

Why won't they go out?

the brake on off switch may be bad or improperly adjusted, could also be a short to ground on the wiring harness.
