2002 Kia Optima battery light comes on

The light doesn't come on in reverse. The light comes on when I put it in drive. The light then stays solid. It starts with out any problem. It has never stalled. The radio, lights, ect work fine. The belt doesn't appear to be loose.

Best have the charging system checked out could be a problem with the computer controlled of the alternator's field generation
