When starting my car up this morning, it started with no problem, but it rattled and knocked quickly and loudly (which it has never done before). I decided to let it run for awhile and see if it would "warm up". After about 5 minutes I went back outside and the car was giving off a strong smell, it was a sulphuric smell. Do you have any ideas what could be the problem?

Based on your description, I would say the catylatic converter has come apart inside. It will rattle and can make that smell. Take a rubber mallot and tap on the converter to determine if that is where the rattle has come from. IF it is, it will need replaced.
