Brakes problem
2001 Kia Optima 6 cyl 10012 miles

Kia Optima 2001 V6. I recently got my front bakes and rotors repaired. Whenever I drive the car now, it jerks everytime I stop. And sometimes I can hear the car making a grinding noise when I press the brake. The company who repaired the brakes said I may need new tires but a second opinion said the tires are fine and the brakes need to be repaired. What can I do to repair the problem?

It doesn't sound like a tire problem. Has anyone actually checked the brakes to see if something has happened? I have seen the brake pads fall apart in the past. If you are getting a grinding, that may have happened, or the pads themself may not have been properly installed.

Can you give me a better description of the noise and problems you are having?
