2009 Kia Cerato Aircon on full blast

This is not specific to an issue rather a query on any potential damage/ strain on the car if I leave my AC on at 17.5 deg on full blast for an hour or so while the car is cruising.

Will there be any excess consumption of fuel ?

They'll be always a fuel consumption involved using the AC no matter what temperature is set at-
