Key-less remote entry

Have key-less remote and gets stuck in ACC, key doesn’t come out. I have to leave it in anywhere from 15-45 minutes for it to release. Doesn’t do it all the time. Any suggestions?

Hello,

This sounds like the shift cable is worn not putting the transmission all the way into park which will not release the key but to make sure when the key is stuck go under the hood and push the gear selector arm one way and then the other to see if it moves and if so does the key come out?
