i was going to see if my truck would start after several years of not being used, so i found my key and placed it in the ignition and turned the key. My truck did not start because of the battery; but my key will not come out. I googled helps and tricks to get the key out those did not work and i also looked at the owner's manual and it said something about the anti-theft lock.

Hi,

The anti-theft won't prevent you from removing the key. It can prevent the engine from running, but I suspect it has to do with a dead battery. By chance, have you tried charging the battery to see if it will then turn?

Let me know.
