Key stuck in drivers door

Afternoon, my battery is flat and is situated in boot. I only have one key I opened the drivers door and the key is stuck. I have lubricsted it but it will not come out. Any help appreciated. I need to open the boot to charge battery abd as it is flat the electronic boot release inside will not operate without charge. Thanks

if you can get the hood open there is a red post that you should be able to put a charger on even if it is small one and let it charge to open trunk. key may be lodged in lock try using some heat or constant wiggling up and down to see if it will move.

Thanks HMAC300, really really helpful. located the red post and put a charge on it will leave it a while but that initial charge release my key straight away. Many thanks for your assistance.
