My key is stuck, not turning to ACC and therefore I could not take off the key cylinder.
Would it be okay may I connect a new key cylinder with the old key cylinder mounted?

Hi,

I don't feel that would work. Also, if you replace the key lock cylinder and key, the immobilizer will need to be reprogrammed.

If you look at the first six pics below, that is how it's reprogrammed. The remaining pics are for replacing the switch. If you can't get the switch to the lock position, reconfirm that the shift lever is fully in park. Also, let me know if you have a floor shift or column shift set up.

Take a look through them and let me know if they help.

Take care,

Joe
