Hello, my name is Shannon, I have the car listed above G4. A key was blinking on my dashboard. So, I changed the battery in my key fob and the key went away on my dashboard. So, if the blinking key light was for the security system and not the battery in the key fob would the key light still be on the dashboard? The light started blinking last Sunday and I just changed the battery yesterday.

Hi Shannon,

Yep, the light could indicate a weak battery in the fob. Eventually, it is likely it wouldn't have started for you.

If the light is off and staying off, you are good to go.

Please feel free to come back anytime in the future if you have questions. You're always welcome here.

Take care,

Joe
