Key ignition

Truck thinks key is in ignition cannot put key back in with ease. Cannot turn key.

Sounds as if the barrel has failed, you will have to get a new ignition barrel and key, and get the key cut and coded for your car. Do not get a locksmith to do a clone key, as this can cause problems. You need two keys codes alike for the PATS system to identify the keys.
