HI,

After changing my car battery, the key fob is not detected sometimes, or it takes a while when I'm in the car. I'm assuming a battery change in the fob itself would help? But maybe it needs to be reprogrammed and I'm not sure how to do it.

Hi,

If you removed the battery, it shouldn't affect the programming for the FOB. The first thing I would check is if the battery in the FOB is weak or failing. That is my first suspect because if it was a programming issue, it wouldn't work intermittently.

I attached the directions for battery replacement below. Take a look and let me know if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
