Replaced the batteries, and nothing works. Car can lock and unlock from inside with buttons manually, but I cannot lock my car for safety because I have to unlock it with the key and that sets off the factory alarm every time.

Hello,

It sounds like the fob has lost connection with the central locking module. It can also be due to a faulty module or wiring issue.
First try to program the key to the vehicle and see if that will work.

Follow these steps:

Ignition switch to "run" position, try to start and let key return to "run" position
About ten minutes later security light will go off
Turn key "off" and wait 5 seconds
Repeat 2 more times for a total of three relearns.
Turn key off, then start it.

Please let me know if this works.
Thank you.
