Cannot remove key

My car starts and turns off, but can't remove key.

Hello,

While doing a little research on your vehicle I came across this Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for recalls being done for defective ignition switches. You might want to call your local Chevrolet dealership and see if your vehicle is one that is affected by this recall. I have included the entire TSB in the diagrams down below. Let us know how it turns out.

I had the ignition switch fixed and put the thing in the key on a recall.

it was the gearshift assembly and connecting wire.
