keeps blowing fuses for the four wheel drive

2001 FORD RANGER

when it works it is fine. after a couple days of using the four wheel drive in the morning when I turn on the ignition switch it blows the fuse and it is not in four wheel drive.

scan for codes first then check wiring for broken/chafed etc. it may hitting on body or frame and or the shifter motor may be bad on transfer-case.
