Just swapped out engine now it cranks but will not start

Swapped out engine on the vehicle listed above with a motor out of a Chevrolet Cruise. It will just crank and will not start, I am popping all kinds of codes.

P0011-00
Intake camshaft position system performance

P0014-00
Exhaust camshaft position, exhaust camshaft position not plausible

P0031-00
H02S heater control circuit low voltage sensor 1

P0031-00
H02S heater control circuit low voltage sensor 2

P0035-00
Turbocharger bypass solenoid valve control circuit high voltage

P0037-00
H02S heater control circuit low voltage sensor 2

P038-00
H02S heater control circuit low voltage sensor high voltage sensor 2

H02S heater resistance sensor 1

I did find a 10amp fuse under the fuse box cover that didn't seem to have a home, checked all fuses there isn't one missing and no blown fuses under hood or under dash. I wonder with the different models if it would effect the computer at all?

What year Cruze was the 1.4 out of? Which harness was used with the engine?

Not sure on the year, am going to try to get that info today, I used the original wiring harness from the 2014 trax.

The donor motor is out of a 2016 Chevrolet Cruise. I checked the timing chain to see if it was moving okay, it is. I’m swapping out cam sensors now, because I know the old ones worked. I was wondering about the crank sensor? It’s so hard to get at on these I was avoiding all that work just to try. Any help would be appreciated.

I would start by looking at the fuses. Then check that the harness grounds are all connected. Most of those codes look to be power or ground related in that they are outside what the system expects. A bad ground could easily do that.

What was the issue with the original engine? All of the plugs and sensors plugged in okay correct. That engine should be a bolt in from what they show in the interchange so it almost has to be something like a bad or missed connector or a blown fuse that connects to the PCM.

Hey there, I had to change over the wiring harness, there were a couple plugs that were not the same for eg, the compressor plugs were different. So I just changed over to the wiring harness that I knew worked. The motor that came out of the Traxs has no compression on cylinder 3. I am pretty sure there was an injector problem and they just kept driving it. I have check the fuse panels several times. Checked ever fuse and they are all fine. Under hood and under dash. It makes sense that it is a fuse and not supplying power to several different components, but I have checked and rechecked still no blown fuse. Check the main grounds and they are all fine.

Okay, lets clear the codes, then with the codes cleared turn the key on without cranking the engine to see if any codes come up this will be the one we chase it should if the others. If no codes come up crank the engine then read the codes again. Can we check fuse #18 for power (key on) here is a guide to help and the fuse location in the diagrams below.

The swapped wiring harness may be the issue. GM has a bad habit of not using the same wire colors or pin locations from model to model. If you still have access to the original harness you may want to compare the pins and wiring to be sure it is the same. The lack of some connectors you needed suggests they are different. Wouldn't take much, say a ground or bias voltage to one of the circuits and you would get codes like you have because the parts are not getting the proper signals.

Good luck with it. Does it run and drive but just lot's of codes? If yes I would bet on the harness mismatch being the issue. Tho O2 heater codes suggest the PCM doesn't think they are even connected, which a single misplaced or broken wire could do.
