When driving along, the trucks service light on dash comes on and drops in speed. When turned off and back on it will run fine for about a km then does it again. Have tried disconnecting battery's to reset computer, but yet again it still continues.

You need to get it scanned for the codes that are causing the light to come on. Without those it is all a shot in the dark.

Steve is correct, without a code it is hard to tell what can be happening. At first guess it sounds like you may have a speed sensor issue, but without a code we would not know where to begin. We have videos on how to retrieve codes you should take a look. Lou.

Hi MATT QUINN,

Here is a link to the code scanning information from this site Lou P mentioned in his post. It features written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to do the scan yourself. also, I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning.

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.

Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com

Once you have the codes please get back to us so that we can further assist you. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for visiting 2CarPros.com.

Kindest regards,

Renee
