Jerking when shifting in the cold weather

My wife has a 2009 Nissan Rogue and was driving home and it started jerking when shifting gears which is CVT transmission and it is cold and snowing here in Mass.

scan for codes first then make sure that fluid level is at correct level that is important with this transmission as it can cause all sorts of problems.
