I changed the starter two weeks ago and now it is jerking and cutting off. Also the dash gauges are going up an down and even off at times.

Check the battery for condition and make sure connection on starter are tight. Include load test for battery most places do for free. Scan for codes and check the fuel pressure with a gauge.

Hi Wrighteddie,

I am sending your three links to helpful and informative information from this site. You will find written step by step instructions, pictures and videos explaining how to load test your battery, scan for codes and checking your fuel pressure yourself. If you decide you would like do this test yourself you can purchase a fuel pressure gauge and a code scanner online from sites like Amazon.com. Most scanners are fairly inexpensive.

Once you have the codes please get back to us so that we can further assist you.
