Hi

I recently replaced my cranckshaft bearrings to resolve a knocking sound in the engine. It worked.
But now whenever I accelerate or change gears at high revs, I get a whistling noise. It sound like air in the intake but the whole system is OK.
I feel it has caused a slight power reduction in the engine and also a delay (almost a flat spot) when I accelerate suddenly

Hmm interesting. Take some carb cleaner and while the jeep is running spray a little down by and along the intake gaseket where it meets the head also along the base of the carb if you had it off. Dont blow yourself up spraying a bunch on the exhaust. Try this and if the moter changes pitch then you probably have a gasket leak and causing a whislte. Try this and get back to me and thanks Cut
