1993 Jeep YJ Overdrive

Transmission problem
1993 Jeep YJ 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

When I push the overdrive button on the interior counsel there is no change in the rpm's. This tells me that it is nothing is happening. Could this be a faulty electrical switch or is it in the transmission itself?

Hi there, i need a model type, i.e. wrangler or what ever as this may make a difference with the wiring.
