When it is cold outside, 40 degrees or less it starts up OK but I need to let it run for several minutes before I can drive because it wants to stall when I take off. I installed new wires, cap, rotor andd olugs 3000 miles ago.

First of all, any check engine light? Sounds like it may be the engine temp sensor telling the ECM that the motor is warmer than it is on startup and it's not getting enough fuel.
