Rear brakes worn out at 24000. Front brakes barely warn. Is this a manuf. Defect?

No. Very common. Its also common on ford f 250s and up. Rears are lasting half the time as the fronts.

I havnt seen a bulletin on them yet, also havnt probed around it. All I can say is I have seen numerous rear brakes spent on the newer wranglers way before the fronts. Its not uncommon.

I have the same 2008 Jeep Wrangler and at 25,200 miles the rear brake pads are spent and front are about half? I find this odd? After reading some of the letters it seems this in the norm? Or there's a problem that hasn't been agreed on yet? Just thinking out loud I guess. Thanks for this site. I've gottin alot of infor over time. I really mean that. Thanks again, Carlos
