Transmission problem
2006 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2006 Wrangler unlimited. Automatic trasmission slams gears between first and second intermittently.
This makes it difficult to diagnose. Has anyone had this problem and know the fix for it. The dealer said it was a wiring problem to the temperature sensor to the tranny. It was replaced but did not fix any suggestions or known fixes?

RoyBoy, See My Profile, I do not have a "Nice, Newer Rig w/ Air", as you do.I do want one, just for the "Air" part.

What you probably need the most, is a REPAIR MANUAL, as I described in my profile.

Keep it in your rig and it will always be with you. If ever you sit on the side of the road "PONDERING A FIX".

I do not know your rig well, especially the "AUTO" part, But investigate this. Always use the RECOMMENDED FLUIDS at the CORRECT LEVEL?

What about TRANNY FILTER AND FLUID CHANGE at the CORRECT INTERVALS?

ALL CAN BE FOUND IN THAT $30 REPAIR MANUAL I MENTIONED, along with TROUBLESHOOTING. Testing, in a orderly fashion. In order to establish a "Diagnosis to your Problem"
