My timing belt broke and in the process of replacing it the harmonic balancer cracked. We purchased a new harmonic balancer from our local jeep dealership, but are experiencing difficulties with the installation. We were told by the dealership mechanics to hammer it on with a rubber mallet, but this hasn't worked. Now my husband seems to think the only way to install it is with a hand press, but we can't find one to rent. Do you have any suggestions?
