I recently got screwed over by a dealership. They claimed that they did all this brake work and steering damper work but one year later I had to have everything done over. They did my brakes incorrectly and now my entire brake system burned up. My calipers seized and led to the scorching of my rotors, brake pads, and calipers as well as having to have my brake system force flushed and new hoses installed. Now my rear shocks are leaking oil. Could there be a melted seal due to the scorching of my brake system or the fact the dealer originally put too small of a steering damper on?

Hi there,

There will be no connection between brake temp's steering dampers and the rear shockers, shockers will fail because of a number of reasons, mainly damaged strut shafts causing the seal to tear, other physical damage ands plain old age or excessive heavy use, (a lot of heavy off road use) but not what you have mentioned.
