i was wondering if there is a cable that allows my laptop to the cars computer. And a software i can use to check my car from my laptop.

Hello, there is software that will allow you to hook the laptop to the datalink connector and see live engine data. There is also a data-logger that you can plug-in to the datalink connector, drive around, record data, then plug in to your desk-top computer or whatever.

I haven't researched this very much, so, I don't have any brand names or anything.
