My oil pressure guage has been erratic lately, going form 40 to 80 then back again several times on my short trip to work. The oil is full and clean, there are no leaks, no smoke,I peeked in the oil fill with the engine running and oil seems to be pumping in. I have heard it could be the sender, the sensor or the guage itself any chance you all could narrow it down for me?

Best method is to hook up an oil pressure gauge-if its normal replace the oil pressure switch ain't it the guage itself
