1999 Jeep Wrangler Oil Pressure

After the vehicle has warmed up, the oil pressure drops while idling. It registers zero on the guages. Is this the oil pump?

To find out hook up a mechanical gauge at the oil pressure switch -remove it and read the pressure if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit-
