Brakes problem
1999 Jeep Wrangler 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I just replaced the rotors on the front wheel of my 1999 Jeep Wrangler and now I can't get it to go in gear! The front wheels feel locked up!

See my profile. CJ guy, not familiar with your brake system. Understand most systems in general.

When you replaced Rotors, did you compare w/ old to see if they were same? What about pad comparison with old.

Do your rotors "fall off" when caliper removed? OR must you remove bearing assemblies and remove HUB and ROTOR as 1 piece as in CJs.

Call parts house, ask if they have pads for your rig, ask for part # and brandCHECK YOUR BOX FOR SAME NUMBER. Did you reinstall caliper and shoes correctly? (Nothing in a bind, in the correct mounting holes). Inner/ outer pads are not reversed.

Have you jacked up frt. End and see if either wheel will turn (out of gear and 4X4 out too). Remove both wheels and compare reassembly to each other. May have done one (or both) different. Do you have a repair manual to make reference to?
