no check engine light on and I hadn't noticed leaking prior, however it has smelled like its been running hot for a couple of weeks. I had only been driving for about 3 miles I turned the corner and it started steaming under the hood and when I pulled over the fluid drained. I put water in last night. I just need to drive it about 2 miles per day for the next 3 days and will get fixed. is that ok?

Well i cant really answer that not knowing where its leaking. If you got to drive it just make sure you fill it up before going and carry some water with you. I dont know how fast your losing coolant or where its coming from. Hopefully you will get to where you are going for repairs. Let us know what they tell you. Curt
